Hello, my name is Hiroshi Tomita.

Craftsmanship Rooted in Care
Streamside Carpentry was founded by Hiroshi Tomita in Sisters, Oregon, in 2021.
Hiroshi comes from a lineage of builders and makers. On his mother’s side are architects and builders, and miyadaiku on his father’s side — the highly skilled Japanese carpenters known for temple building. That blend of perspectives has shaped a way of working that values both structure and subtlety, where function, design, and care for the environment carry equal weight.
Before starting Streamside Carpentry, Hiroshi spent years working in finish carpentry and residential construction.
Today, Streamside Carpentry focuses on semi-custom cabinetry for Central Oregon.
Based in Sisters, Oregon, we work closely with homeowners to create spaces that feel personal without excess — shaped by use, grounded in material, and built to last.
